14 DAY TRIAL // An updated version of the YP–Yellow Pages App is now available from the iTunes App Store, AT&T has confirmed.
The new release delivers a completely redesigned user experience that offers more ways to quickly find local businesses and great savings directly from the iPhone, AT&T said.
According to its makers, the next-generation YP app experience offers iPhone users a convenient "Deals" section to browse nearby coupons, specials, and discounts across a variety of categories that can be redeemed on the spot or tucked away for later.
Another noteworthy addition, the location-aware home screen displays local weather and can be personalized to show nearby deals, local events, and shortcuts to favorite searches.
AT&T also touts the ability to save deals, favorite businesses, and events to "My Stuff" for easy access.
The formerly exclusive iPhone carrier has enhanced the location-detection feature that automatically pinpoints a users' location down to the street address, making it easier to quickly find things nearby.
The ability to swipe listings for a quick access menu to quickly call, see a map or get directions to a business nearby, is also noted in the list of enhancements.
