The latest Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians Kickstarter update brings some great news, informing that fabled game artist Akihiko Yoshida has joined the team.

Formerly involved with designing Final Fantasy characters for Square Enix, the renowned artist is considered one of the best game artists of all time. Playdek has announced that the artist will be joining the development team at base goal level, and will design Unsung Story's characters.

Many voices in the community were asking if the inclusion of Akihiko Yoshida would be possible, and the Kickstarter update announcement is exciting indeed.

"I'm going to be helping to create artwork for Unsung Story. I am interested in the game concept of Unsung Story and it looks very exciting," he shared during a short introductory video.

The news did not stop here, as the update also contained some information regarding more specific details of the game, more precisely two new classes, the Minister and the Arcanite.

Unsung Story players will be able to unlock new character classes and professions as they progress through the game, and characters in the party can be rearranged and their classes can be switched in order to have a more synergistic party.

There will be a total of 10 professions in the game, and each one will have 3 different classes will both class and profession-specific skills, with most of them being unlockable as the game progresses.

Professions are designed to have an alignment, based around cultural and intellectual affinities, allowing each of them to have affiliation bonuses with other professions.

Equipment will be divided according to two main criteria, profession-specific and class-specific. Crafting new weapons, armor and enhancement by combining different pieces of equipment will also be supported, and using enhancement attachments will make characters more powerful.
