That Lenovo is working on its own tablet PCs is not really any sort of news, but it looks like its roadmap might include a certain electronic that, until now, had not been revealed in any report or announcement.

Like so many other notebook makers and mobile electronics developers, Lenovo is very much intent on grabbing a slice of the tablet market.

Of course, considering how fast this sort of product has gained in popularity and financial figures, this is not just unsurprising, it was somewhat expected.

Lenovo actually has more than just one plan, as among its ideas are not just 10-inch and 7-inch models, but even a 23-inch tablet.

As always, most information on companies' plans comes more form reports and rumors than from official announcements.

The latest such rumor seems to suggest that, besides those known so far, there is another Lenovo slate in the making.

Said tablet has a screen size of 7 inches and has no name, or at least has not yet been given one.

Its 7-inch panel has a native resolution of 1,280 x 800 pixels, while a dual-core ARM processor acts as the platform for everything.

Regrettably, the chip in question is not named, so it could be either a Tegra from NVIDIA or something else.

In fact, no other hardware component was revealed, so it falls to users to guess at how much RAM and storage space (NAND Flash most likely) exists.

It is, of course, quite likely that LAN, WiFi, Bluetooth, webcams and perhaps even HDMI connectivity will exist, but any confirmation will only arrive in roughly two quarters' time.

On the other hand, the software is not as shrouded in mystery. As one would expect, the Android 3.0 operating system, otherwise known as Honeycomb OS, will be loaded onto it.
