HTC is preparing to launch its One series worldwide. The company is reportedly bringing the HTC One X to China and Taiwan on April 2.

The device will make its entrance in the UK around April 5, while other European countries will get it around the same date.

Canadians will be able to purchase the HTC One X next month as well, though no exact release date is available for the moment.

MobileSyrup has just learned that the unlocked variant of HTC One X is currently available for pre-order via Canadian retailer NCIX. Customers can pre-purchase this one for a whopping price of $799.99 CAD outright.

This will probably be the final price for the HTC One X even after it hits shelves, especially given the fact that the retailer is importing the smartphone directly from the manufacturer, which means there won't be any subsidies from a carrier.

All in all, the One X is the company's new Android flagship smartphone and the first manufactured by HTC to feature a quad-core processor.

The handset is powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform out of the box with HTC Sense 4.0 UI. The smartphone comes with a stunning 4.7-inch Super IPS LCD2 capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720 x 1280 pixels) resolution, and features Corning Gorilla Glass.

The insides of the One X are pretty impressive as the device is equipped with a quad core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz and an ULP GeForce graphic processing unit.

On the back, the phone boasts an enhanced 8-megapixel camera with HTC's ImageSense technology and full HD (1080p) video recording.

The main camera easily handles low light settings and it is capable of turning any action shot into perfectly crisp photo, especially thanks to the HTC ImageChip.

Although there's no telling exactly when the Canadian retailer gets the HTC One X, keep in mind that the suggested retail price is subject to change.
