T-Mobile will introduce a new service for their customers in its Wi-Fi and Wireless Network. This means better coverage and unlimited nationwide calling from home through T-Mobile HotSpot @Home.

A large number of benefits are available right from the customers' homes and also from any of the 8,500 T-Mobile HotSpot locations across the US. T-Mobile also brings a large number of mobile phones which will prove excellent for this type of services. They have just added Samsung t409 and Nokia 6086 to their line of phones for the price of USD 50 with a two year contract on a qualifying rate plan. These handsets are meant to provide all the top performances that customers might need for Wi-Fi calls.

"T-Mobile HotSpot @Home is a first-of-its-kind service that helps people simplify their lives, save money, and enjoy great call quality on one device -- their mobile phone -- at home", said Robert Dotson, president and CEO of T-Mobile USA. This comes as a result of a simple tendency that people show for giving up their home phones. "More people than ever are looking to drop their home landline phone and pocket the savings. However, they don't want to use all their wireless minutes talking from home. Our new service solves this dilemma once and for all", further commented Robert Dotson.

This service is not the same as the VoIP one. In this case, when T-Mobile HotSpot @Home costumers exit a T-Mobile Hotspot, be it their home or any other one, all calls they place are automatically transferred to GSM/GPRS/EDGE wireless network. As a result, people can continue their conversations without having to worry about the area they are in at the time.

T-Mobile hotSpot @Home will be available for a voice plan of USD 10 per month for a single line and USD 20 for up to five lines on a FamilyTime plan.
