Train the next heavyweight champion

Not that it wasn't feeling well, but there is always room for improvement. That is why Winter Wolves Games have decided to launch Universal Boxing Manager version 1.3.8, which comes with a whole bunch of statistics and new features with only one desire: to offer a better management experience.

Among the changes this new Universal Boxing Manager comes with, we will have a completely redesigned right-panel (you can call it a menu, if you want to), with more statistics and a great new option that should've been there from the start: the option to "throw the towel", thus avoiding serious injuries for your boxer. Also, if your boxer is losing badly and you decide not to throw the towel, you can get a serious skill penalty for your man or even seriously compromise his career, just like it would happen in real life. The round scoring system has been revamped and now the final rating is determined by the effective damage inflicted and not the number of punches. So, we have a bunch of very useful changes, we could say!

UBM allows you to control up to six different boxers in 17 weight categories, train them as you see fit and lead them to glory by arranging fights and coaching your boxers between rounds. You have a huge database available, too, with over 1000 names, so you will spend some time searching for the perfect person for you. But this is what you do while playing manager games, that is why the satisfaction when you win is so great.

I say that because I have always been a "be-the-manager" fanboy and I tried most of the games available on the market - I even played a cricket manager sim, even though I had absolutely no idea how the game is played. I have also tried another boxing manager title a couple of years ago and it was a real pain trying to at least understand it (I have only managed to win one fight in 4 or 5 hours), but UBM seems like a much better, "developer-care" alternative. So, excuse me, I have to train my boxer!
