It uses digital light processing to harden resin into objects

Some 3D printers create items by adding material dot by dot, or by spilling extruder in constant filaments. The Uncia uses digital light processing (DLP).

In a nutshell, the method cures liquid resin layer by layer by using a light projector.

Uncia is supposed to be a low-end 3D printer really (since DLP is usually used for such things). But the whole point of Uncia is to provide an affordable printer that still creates the objects properly, instead of messing them up.

So here are the bare specs: a build volume of 102 x 77 x 180 mm / 4.02 x 3.03 x 7.09 inches, a resolution of 100 microns (0.004 inches), and a typical layer height is the same.

Owners should be able to achieve 50 microns when they adjust the projector too, and adjust the Z axis if they know what they're doing.

The retail price of Uncia is (or will be) of $999 / €999. QSQM is the company behind it.
