Sony has seemingly confirmed that it will be releasing two special collections of its biggest franchises, Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank, for the PlayStation 3 this summer, ahead of the launch of brand new games in both series.

Sony has been really adamant in making sure that all gamers have access to its big franchises, releasing plenty of high definition remakes of classic titles, like the God of War or Sly Cooper Collections, but also packs that included previous PlayStation 3 games in series like Resistance, which is set to receive the Resistance Dual Pack next month.

Now, a Sony Computer Entertainment Europe spokesperson confirmed to CVG that the company will be deploying two other Collections next month, for the Uncharted and the Ratchet & Clank franchises.

The Uncharted collection was leaked yesterday by an online retailer, and is set to appear, according to Sony, on July 22, including the first two titles in the series, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and Uncharted 2: Among Thieves.

What's more, special goodies relating to the upcoming Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception will also appear in the pack, including a dynamic PlayStation 3 theme and an avatar.

There's more good news, as the same spokesperson confirmed that a Ratchet & Clank collection will also appear on that same day, and will include Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction and Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time.

A dynamic theme, as well as four avatars, with Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark and Dr. Nefarious, will also be included, in order to raise up the hype before the upcoming Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One.

Sony's hasn't released an official statement about these two collections, but we can expect confirmations later today or next week.

Both collections are coming on July 22, while Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception hits on November 1, and Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One arrives on October 18, all exclusively to the PlayStation 3.
