An official reveal will probably come during E3 2015

It seems that Sony is getting ready to officially announce and launch an Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, and its existence has been announced by the PlayStation Store, although Sony has not officially talked about it and its content.

Gamers have managed to see the new package listed on the mobile version of the North American PS Store, and a NeoGAF user has even got a screenshot before the listing was pulled.

Presumably, the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be launched on the PlayStation 4 home console.

It seems that it will offer improved versions of the classic titles in the series: Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception.

Given the way the publisher has handled remakes for the PS4, all the titles will be offered in 1080p resolution and with improved textures.

It's unclear whether development work is handled directly by Naughty Dog or if another studio is doing the hard work and the creators of the Uncharted franchise are just overseeing the development process linked to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

No other details about the new collection have been offered so far, but presumably, an official announcement from Sony will come at the E3 2015 press conference of the company, which is slated for Monday, June 15.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is not coming this year

With the new and final title in the Nathan Drake-powered franchise now set to arrive in early 2016, Sony needs to have a solid collection that can arrive before the end of the year in order to give fans a look at how the series can look on the PlayStation 4.

Considering the success of the Remastered version of The Last of Us, a lot of gamers will be interested in Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

The big question is whether the developers have the time to make sure that each of the included titles offers a solid visual upgrade while also maintaining its classic charm.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection would be a great way for Sony to anchor its fall launch schedule for the PlayStation 4, but most fans would love to also get more details about A Thief's End in the coming months.
