Fans of Tarantino's films will know that Uma holds a special place in the director's heart, as she appeared in several of his productions, like “Pulp Fiction” and “Kill Bill.”
At this year's Cannes Film Festivals, the two seemed to be awfully close, and rumors began popping up that the two had moved their friendship up to the next level. Today, we get official confirmation that Tarantino began dating his long-time friend, as they were spotted on a date at the Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills, California.
The 44-year-old actress went the extra mile and showed up in a stunning dress with a generous cleavage just to impress the 51-year-old director. It's not known what he actually thought of his date, but they seemed to enjoy their time out.
At the end of the date, their affection was expressed through a long kiss, as Tarantino leaned in and also put his arms around her for an embrace. Uma didn't turn him down, offering definitive proof that they are a couple and have been for some time.
Us Weekly speculates that the romance commenced sometime last month, when they rented a villa in Cannes to attend the Film Festival and spent some time together in the beautiful south of France. An insider speaking with the magazine hinted that this was not the first time the two became intimate.
According to the source, Quentin and Uma had an affair some time ago in their 10-year-long friendship. What's more, Tarantino is thought to have always had a crush on Uma. “They had a thing and got together again recently. He's loved her for years.”
Though he's been long waiting for this moment, the director finally seems to have caught Uma at the right time, as in, she's available and in need of comfort. Back in April, the actress called off her engagement to hedge-fund mogul Arpad Busson, who is the father of her 22-month-old daughter Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.
Another insider gushes when referring to the two old friends, “There has always been an attraction. She has indulged from time to time, and that's how their relationship has always worked”
It turns out that the years haven't put a dampen on that spark they had, on the contrary: “They still talk constantly. They are talking about working together again still.” From the looks of the photo, they are doing more than just talking these days, though they're still using their mouths to communicate.
