14 DAY TRIAL // Capcom has just confirmed Ultra Street Fighter IV, a new expansion for the impressive Street Fighter IV, bringing new characters, stages, and modes to the quite popular fighting experience.
Street Fighter IV appeared many years ago and, since then, Capcom released quite a few different expansions, like Super Street Fighter IV or the Arcade Edition, which brought plenty of new characters, mechanics, tweaks, and improvements.
Now, a brand new add-on has just been confirmed by the company, in the form of Ultra Street Fighter IV.
The expansion will be available as a standard DLC for owners of Super Street Fighter IV or the Arcade Edition, but also as a standalone experience, and brings five new characters, six new stages, as well as plenty of tweaks to gameplay and new modes.
"In Ultra Street Fighter IV, Poison, Hugo, Elena, Rolento and a secret all-new playable character join the fight, complete with all new animations and their own unique play styles, bringing the current roster count to a massive 44 characters," the company said in a statement.
"Six new battle environments (including Pitstop 109, Cosmic Elevator, Half Pipe and more) provide a thrilling and colorful backdrop to the action. Direct fan feedback was gathered on all of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition’s original 39 characters and core system mechanics in order to achieve the most balanced Street Fighter ever."
The Ultra Street Fighter IV DLC will be available for just 15 USD/EUR, while the standalone edition costs 40 USD/EUR but includes all previous costume DLC released for the series.
The new fighting game will be released for the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms in early 2014.
