The "Pimp-My-Case" Scenario

If you-re a fan of the "Pimp-My-Ride" series, you will probably love this product. Maybe even more than I did (and I wasn't a fan!). Anyway, this item is probably one of the coolest things that have ever been showcased at CES and yet it has almost nothing to do with the performance of a PC but rather with the looks of it.

I am proud to present the first Carbon Fiber case ever. The guys at Ultra have really done it this time and, aside from the 2000W PSU, this was indeed a head-turner at their booth. The carbon fiber panels are not customized and have no paint or polish, motive for which you can really see the fibers through the epoxy. However, I have to say that it looks incredibly good especially because of the aluminum frame which matches perfectly with the unpainted black of the CF.

The case is quite stiff, mainly because it has a very simple layout. There's not much that can be said here excepting perhaps the fact that it holds a unique way of connecting the power cable. With the aid of a thing called "power bar" you can plug in the main power source at the top and through it the power will be distributed to all the drive bays.

I don't know when the case will come to the stores or how much it will cost but for those of you who want to buy it I suggest to prepare your wallet because this won't be a cheap thing to buy. But hey, if you like the custom-built rides, you have to understand that customization costs. A lot.
