Ultimate Street Fighter IV Producer Yoshinori Ono has confirmed that, at least for now, the expansion will appear only on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 platforms, leaving the door open for a possible next-gen version designed for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Ultimate Street Fighter IV was revealed yesterday by Capcom as a brand new expansion for its already classic fighting game.

The title is available either as DLC for owners of Super Street Fighter IV or Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, but also as a standalone experience.

While it brings new characters, stages, and tweaks to the core gameplay, the add-on is scheduled to appear in early 2014 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

According to Producer Yoshinori Ono, who talked on Twitter, the game will be exclusive for the three aforementioned platforms, at least "for the moment."

While he didn't hint at anything, Capcom could try to bring Ultimate Street Fighter IV onto other platforms, possibly even next-gen consoles.

As of yet, however, fighting game fans should await it only on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
