After cloning mobile communication devices and popping them out on the market, Yahee Technologies must have gotten bored. Therefore, the Chinese company focused on other stuff like solar power. Their latest YHM portable media player 678 is a solar-powered media player. There is no need to get worried. It also allows DC charging.

Besides that, the device features a foldable design for the times it has to juice up power. It does not sport any interesting detail, just some bulky shape and electrifying colors. When it comes to its capabilities, the Chinese player does a pretty good job, being capable of decoding both audio and video file formats in AVI and MPEG-4 at a QVGA resolution (25fps), as well as MP1, MP2, MP3, WMA, WAV, ADPCM and AMR audio files and numerous image types. Moreover, the device is said to be able to copy unfinished articles into U disc for any-time read.

Apart from that, the YHM portable media player supports 8-bit FC/NES and 16-bit GB/GBC games. That means it will provide more entertainment than ever before. They even added the cool e-Book reader function with audio playback. Extra specs list mentions an optional voice recorder.

There is no word about the portable media player's internal storage capacity; however, it can be expanded to a maximum 2GB via SD cards slot, which is kind of not very cool. It seems the YHM PMP's sound performance can also be improved with one of the 6 built-in equalizer settings.

Sadly, there is no word on the pricing and availability details, so it is really hard to make a precise analysis of it, but, hey, at least you have various colors to choose from! The player is also able to download the latest update software from our website to expand the functions.
