This is the moment Assassin's Creed fans have been waiting for, as Ubisoft has just announced the next installment in the series, Assassin's Creed Unity is supposed to come out on October 28.

The game takes place during the French Revolution introduces Arno Dorian, the deadliest assassin yet. Arno is “a young man who witnessed a horrible tragedy and turned to the Brotherhood to help him combat the corruption running rampant in France.”

Among the usual tidbits regarding the background story, Ubisoft also revealed more details on the co-op gameplay. We also got to see a 7-minute gameplay showing an enhanced parkour from the assassins in the game, which is much smoother.

There's a clear evolution from all the previous Assassin's Creed games, the most obvious since the franchise has been launched.

Another strikingly amazing feature is how populated the world of Assassin's Creed Unity is, it's like Ubisoft ported the real world into the game.

Ubisoft also confirmed the game has the largest world in an Assassin's Creed title and, more importantly, with tons of different missions that you can take anytime you want.

As we mentioned earlier, the French developer and publisher also revealed more info on the co-op multiplayer. Players will be able to take multiplayer missions throughout the world that can be accomplished by 4 players.

These are not required missions, just side quests that can you can delve in with your friends whenever you feel like, so it shouldn't have any impact on the main story of the game.

Regardless of where they are in the world, assuming they are logged in into the game, you will be able to summon your friends in the Brotherhood to help you take on story-driven missions revolving around the bloody and turbulent French Revolution.

According to Ubisoft, you will be able to “use the environment to surround your enemies and synchronize your kills in brutal harmony. In addition to the co-op, Unity also adds customization to the game.

You’ll be able to pick and choose your gear and apparel, and you’ll be able to level up a set of skills to make Arno the Assassin you want him to be. All of these customizations will carry over into the co-op.”

Fans of the franchise should expect Assassin's Creed Unity to launch on October 28 on PS4, Xbox One and PC. More details on the game are expected to be revealed during this week, so stay tuned.
