We bet many Assassin’s Creed Unity players are anxious to receive the next patch for their game, which was promised by Ubisoft last week. This would be the fourth patch the French developer releases for one of its newest games in the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

At the beginning of last week, Ubisoft confirmed that patch 4 was in the works and that it should be released soon. Today, AC: Unity developers have announced that they will release the update on Monday, December 15.

There aren’t many details on how many fixes and improvements will be included in patch 4, but in its initial statement, Ubisoft mentioned that the update might bring some enhancements to the framerate, among other things.

This is possibly one of the most requested fixes for Assassin’s Creed Unity, and Ubisoft seems to be determined to deliver it in the next patch.

Error CE-34878-0, the initiates legacy recognition issues, and companion problems are among the fixes that Ubisoft needs to address in the coming patches.

Some of them might be included in patch 4, but Ubisoft’s description is too generic to confirm any of them, so we can only wait for devs to publish the update’s official changelog.

Details on the contents of the patch haven't been unveiled yet

Keep in mind though that this hasn't been confirmed yet, but Ubisoft has said that patch 4 is meant to address issues with stability and performance, as well as online matching and connectivity.

There will be even more improvements and fixes, Ubisoft claims, but no other details have been provided on the matter. We expect the French developer to publish the full changelog for patch 4 as early as December 15, the day the update is supposed to go live.

In the same piece of news, Ubisoft also confirms that the update will be released on December 15 across all platforms, so regardless of what platform you own, Assassin’s Creed Unity everyone should get it the same day.

PC players who are using AMD video cards are advised to install the latest drivers for optimal performance before and after the patch.

Assassin’s Creed Unity is considered one of the biggest flops this year due to the almost infinite number of issues that made it in the final build. Most of them were hilarious in a way that made Ubisoft cancel the game’s Season Pass and offer all those who purchased it a free game from a select list of titles.

Players who got the Season Pass on any platform will be able to redeem their free games beginning next week and until March 15, 2015.
