Next week, South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung will unveil to the world a trio of Galaxy S II models en route to the United States market, and some more info on them has just emerged, along with a photo of all three devices.

AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile are the wireless carriers at which these three mobile phones will land, as Verizon was said to have decided to go for another Samsung smartphone, with similar specs as the Galaxy S II, but without the branding.

The three mobile phone models were supposed to be launched on Monday, during an event in New York City, but it seems that we'll have to wait a little longer before they are revealed to the world.

Samsung has decided to postpone the launch event to Tuesday, August 30th, due to the hurricane Irene hitting the city.

Public transportation in New York City has been suspended over the weekend and over 250,000 people in the city have already been evacuated.

However, one day should not be too much of a problem, considering the fact that we have been waiting for the US Galaxy S II models to be unveiled ever since the international variant became official.

The availability of these Galaxy S II flavors should not be affected, even if they are launched one day later.

However, no specific info on when they would hit the shelves is known for the time being, nor on the price tag they might feature when made available.

The same as the original Galaxy S II, the US models are expected to include 4.3-inch displays, as well as dual-core application processors, with each core clocked in at 1.2GHz.

The smartphone also features an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, with support for HD video recording, as well as a front-facing camera for video calling, in addition to the usual set to sensors and a wide range of connectivity options. The Galaxy S II runs under Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
