The Foxconn scandal is finally coming to its end. The company has just announced it will immediately drop the allegations brought to the two Chinese journalists, Wang You and Weng Bao from China Business News, because of the vehement attacks coming from the Reporters Without Borders group.

After they have published several articles regarding the poor working conditions in the company's facilities, the two journalists were sued by Foxconn on the grounds of a dramatic loss of its previous reputation. Therefore, the damages were set at no less than $3.77 million.

Earlier last week, Apple started its own investigation in the partner's facilities to see with its own eyes if the story is true or not, even if Foxconn previously confirmed the information that got onto the first page of almost every important newspaper in the world. Apple said that there are some problems and it will try to help 'its iPod maker' to solve them as quickly as possible.

"As DailyTech previously reported, Apple generated a report from a probe it launched and determined that while most of Foxconn's facilities were well received by employees, there were areas that clearly needed to be addressed. According to Apple's spokesperson Jill Tan,"Apple is working behind the scenes to help resolve this issue." On the other hand, the Secretary-general of the Reporters Without Borders group Robert Menard told reporters that: "We believe that all Wang and Weng did was to report the facts and we condemn Foxconn's reaction," reported Daily Tech.
