The UK authorities are now investigating a man who posted a clip on YouTube showing him speeding with approximately 150mph with a Vauxhall VX220 sports car. Anthony Coyne, 27-year-old, uploaded a video recorded by one of his passengers, showing him and his 28.000 pounds car near Harrietsham, close to Maidstone. According to Kent News, the investigations were started by The Sun, one of the most famous UK publication.

"Coyne believed there was nothing in the photos to show where the speeding took place or to identify him. But we tracked him down within hours. He left his phone number in earlier postings on another site and even gave away his location by revealing he was taking his new motor to Paris. There was only one motorway he would use - and that was the M20. We identified the exact spot as being near Harrietsham," Kent News sustained.

The case is quite interesting because the driver thought that there was no sign appearing in the clips to identify him so he tried to drive as fast as he could.

This is not the first time when the YouTube footage is bringing speedsters in the spotlights because the online video sharing service was a valuable source of information from the police authorities from all over the world. In the past, a man who recorded himself speeding in England was sent to the judge after the police officers saw the clips. However, he remained unpunished because the authorities didn't have any evidence to show the date of the recording. In England, a speeding ticket expires after 15 days since it was released.

YouTube is an online video sharing service that was acquired in October 2006 by Google, the Mountain View company paying $1.65 billion for the product. Recently, the solution was sued by the MTV owner Viacom, the company that also demanded $1 billion in damages for copyright infringement.
