Can you believe it?

As you may or may not know, the United Kingdom is home to some of the greatest hackers the world has seen. London is the biggest hacker colony in England, but guess who else is on the same list! Iiiiiit's Brighton!!! I've never heard of it until now, but as I've seen on The Argus this little town is ranked as number 6 in the UK for Internet fraud.

Initially I couldn't believe this so I went and searched for this town on the Internet. Reading its history I learned that it has been for centuries just a fishing village. Wow! Talk about evolution! It's still not such a large town now, as it has about 143,000 people living in it, but boy, do they have a lot of cyber-scammers. And as you might have read UK is one of the countries with a lot of cyber-crime problems and they have this little town that does a lot of damage!

I don't know how this happens but I've noticed that a lot of small sized towns (everywhere, not just in the UK) are home to a lot of hackers. There are similar cases in my country as well and I believe that this is not something you haven't heard of. It's only normal for towns with a huge population to have more hackers as a number, but often the percent of malicious users in small towns is larger than the ones in the big cities. I can't explain this to myself just yet...

And here's the rankings for the UK - The town with the most cyber-crooks - London, followed by Manchester, Coventry, Kilmarnock, Bristol, Brighton, Leicester, Leeds, Glasgow and Nottingham. I've never been to the UK myself, but I do know a bit of geography - Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland has less cyber-infractions than the small Brighton, so, either Glasgow has really tough security, either Brighton is truly a home for cyber-criminals... This just boggles my mind...
