The South-Korean manufacturer has just announced that it will give away content worth £200 for any customer who buys the company's Samsung Galaxy Tab by February 28th, 2011. New owners of the tablet are required to redeem their vouchers by the 31st of March 2011, otherwise they will lose the opportunity to take advantage of the promotion.

The Entertainment Package, as it was advertised by Samsung, comprises vouchers provided by various third-party retailers and includes: 50 MP3s from emusic.com, 15 movies from Samsung Movies, 7 games from Gameloft (2 pre-installed) and 5 eBooks totaling up to £25 from WHSmith.

The promotion is up starting December 3th, 2010 and is only available for customers living in the UK who are aged 18 or over and who have purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab from a Samsung approved retailer by February 28th, 2011.

Simon Stanford, managing director, Mobile, Samsung UK and Ireland said:

“We’ve used our strategic partnerships with leading brands to put together an entertainment package that will let people enjoy the Galaxy Tab straight away. We’re committed to offering the best entertainment experience as well as the best value and we wanted to give our customers even more to enjoy when they open a Galaxy Tab this Christmas.”

Samsung has recently announced that it has sold 1 million Galaxy Tab units worldwide in just two months since the tablet's release on the market.

So far, the Galaxy Tab seems to be the only device that can successfully compete with Apple's iPad, which sold nearly 8 million units in about eight months.

Samsung UK's promotion is intended to rise customers awareness over the company's Android tablet and improve sales during the winter holidays.

Consumers who bought the Samsung Galaxy Tab during the promotion period have to redeem the entertainment package worth £200 by simply logging on to the promotion's website and entering their unique code found in their Galaxy Tab box.
