When Micro Star International decided to take on the netbook market with their Wind portable computer, everybody saw the new device as a real competitor for ASUS' Eee PC lineup. But although the new portable computer has already received the official treatment, users all over the world still need to wait a while before getting their hands on one of these small computers. But this is about to change, at least for the ones living in UK.

Apparently, the Taiwanese manufacturer will ship its Wind notebooks in UK, starting tomorrow. The Atom-based 10-inch netbook is expected to go for a price tag of ?329.99. This will make UK the first country in which users will be able to benefit from MSI's small portable device. But this doesn't mean that anyone who wants to purchase an MSI Wind netbook will have to move to the United Kingdom, especially since the portable computer will soon be available in the US.

American users will have to wait about one week until the MSI Wind will hit the stores, on the 7th of July. And if you want to put together a budget, you should know that the Wind is expected to come with prices of $399 and $499, for the Linux and Windows versions, respectively.

There have also been recent rumors about the MSI Wind being available in Japan sometime in July. But Japanese people who want to acquire one of these netbooks will have to search for the LuvBook U100 at Mouse Computer and not for the MSI Wind. Apparently the LuvBook U100 will sell for approximately $554, slightly higher than its US expected price tag.

The news should please MSI Wind fans, who were recently faced with a number of delays, one of which was due to the worldwide shortage of batteries.
