Zumba Fitness has managed something that higher profile releases have not managed this year and has kept the number one position in the United Kingdom video game chart for the fifth week in a row while reaching the eight week on top overall.

The video game, which was published by 505 Games, is mixing traditional fitness programs with dancing moves and appeals to those gamers who are interested in some light gaming but are not ready to play all the big releases of the year.

Zumba Fitness has also benefited from the lack of huge launches which has become a tradition for the gaming industry and the game will probably keep the first spot next week as well.

Second place in the United Kingdom chart has gone to Transformers: Dark of the Moon, the movie tie-in game from High Moon Studios and Activision, which has managed to do well just as the movie it is supporting is breaking records all over the world.

Third place went top Dirt 3 from Codemasters, the rally racing video game that has managed to put in a solid performance since launch, while Call of Duty: Black Ops, the first-person shooter that dominated sales during 2010, is in a surprising fourth place, mainly due to the recently launched map pack that arrived for it.

The LEGO-branded video games have also managed a strong performance during the week that ended on July 16, with the Pirates of the Caribbean themed game managing to take fifth position while the one posed around the Clone Wars cartoon show is in sixth.

The Harry Potter game also managed to perform pretty well and arrived in seventh position while EA Sports Active 2 makes a surprising appearance in the top ten at nine while Brink from Splash Damage and Bethesda closes down the first ten positions of the chart.
