UC Mobile, the company behind one of the most popular browsers for mobile phones, UC Browser, has just announced the official launch of its application at GetJar

Under the agreement, GetJar is bringing its App Catalogue Express to UC Browser users, which will allow them to access more than 75,000 apps from over 2000 mobile phones models across all major platforms.

The new partnership between UC Mobile and GetJar will provide UC Mobile customers with access to a wide catalog of applications ranging from games, social networking, sports, entertainment and productivity applications.

Some of the most popular apps such as Facebook Mobile, Yahoo!, Lookout and Angry Birds will be now easily downloable through GetJar on handsets across all major platforms, including smartphones such as Android and Blackberry in addition to feature phones.

Bill Scott, SVP of sales and business development, said, “The demand for apps continues to soar and many operators and other third parties are eager to introduce an app store, without needing to manage the sourcing and moderating of thousands of individual apps.”

UC Browser was originally launched in April 2004 as a Java-only application, but it has seen dramatic changes over the years. The software got more than 400 million downloads and 100 million users all over the world by September 2010.

Currently, UC Browser with its various versions has more than 10,000,000 total downloads and ranks top 10 apps in GetJar. GetJar generates over 3 million downloads a day and has over 1 billion downloads to date.
