U.S. Cellular, the carrier with the highest call quality and network satisfaction of any U.S-based carrier, as the operator claims, has just announced it will launch its 4G LTE network early next year.

It appears that the carrier's 4G LTE network will be deployed in partnership with King Street Wireless and is meant to upgrade the 3G service that U.S. Cellular is now providing to its customers.

U.S. Cellular also stated that 4G LTE tests are still being carried out to ensure that its customers get the best services, and that the first LTE-endabled devices will be introduced as early as the first quarter of 2012.

According to the carrier, its 4G LTE services will be initially launched in six states: Iowa, Wisconsin, Maine, North Carolina, Texas and Oklahoma.

Among the markets that will benefit from U.S. Cellular's new 4G LTE services, the carrier mentions Milwaukee, Madison and Racine, Wis.; Des Moines, Cedar Rapids and Davenport, Iowa; Portland and Bangor, Maine; and Greenville, N.C.

With a 4G LTE network and cutting-edge 4G LTE devices, customers will be able to connect to their friends and family even faster and get more done when they're away from their home or office,” said Mary N. Dillon, president and CEO of U.S. Cellular.

Although the carrier has yet to disclose any information on the LTE devices that will be launched in early 2012, we can safely assume that the iPhone 4S will not be among them, as the carrier already announced it will not carry it in the near future.

We're excited to partner with King Street Wireless to bring 4G LTE speed to more customers next year that will help them be more productive. Our commitment to providing products and services that simplify and enhance customers' lives is one of the reasons we have the happiest customers in wireless,” concluded Dillon.

More details about U.S. Cellular's early rollout of 4G LTE network, as well as future plans about its services and LTE-enabled devices will be announced in due time.
