14 DAY TRIAL // One of the first major carriers to debut the famous “Back-to-School” promotion is U.S. Cellular. The operator has just dropped the prices on many smartphones, including Android, BlackBerry and Windows Phone 7 devices.
U.S. Cellular's promotion runs through September 8 and offers customers a wide range of smartphones at lower prices, including the HTC 7 Pro, HTC Merge and LG Genesis, which can be purchased for just $149.99 after $100 mail-in rebate along with a data plan purchase.
RIM's fans can also purchase the BlackBerry Curve for just $9.99 or the BlackBerry Bold for $69.99, both after $100 mail-in rebate along with a data plan purchase.
Furthermore, heavy texters or those who are looking for cheap, basic phones can choose one of the two messaging phones offered by U.S. Cellular, the Samsung Chrono or LG Saber for just a penny with an instant in-store rebate.
“Managing calendars, keeping track of kids' activities and keeping in contact with family and friends is easy with the features and helpful apps on U.S. Cellular's extensive lineup of devices,” said David Kimbell, vice president of marketing for U.S. Cellular
In addition, customers who switch to U.S. Cellular and activate any new smartphone during the promotion will receive a $100 switcher credit per line.
The carrier's deals also includes Android-powered smartphones such as the Samsung Gem for free after $100 mail-in rebate along with a data plan purchase, the LG Optimus U for $29.99 after $100 mail-in rebate with a data plan purchase, or the LG Apex for just $49.99 with an instant rebate and with a data plan purchase.
"Consumers who switch to U.S. Cellular can get deals on a variety of feature-packed smartphones and messaging phones and will join the happiest customers in wireless," added Kimbell.
Two more Android smartphones are also offered by U.S. Cellular at great prices, the HTC Desire that can be purchased for only $69.99 and the Samsung Mesmerize for $99.99, both after $100 mail-in rebate along with a data plan purchase.
