Audio/video receivers are something that everyone who is reasonably well off and has a liking for multimedia will want to buy at some point.

That is why Harman Kardon has put together the AVR 2700 and the AVR 3700, both of which go with the regular black box look.

The AVR 2700 has 7.1-channel surround sound (100W per channel), eight HDMI ports, 3D support, Apple AirPlay compatibility (direct streaming from iDevices) and 4K pass-through and upscaling.

It has DLNA support as well as Ethernet, and a price of $799.95 / €610.79 – 799.95.

The other receiver, AVR 3700, gets 7.2-channel surround sound, 125W per channel, integrated Wi-Fi, HDMI ports (eight again) and multi-zone functionality (can stream something different to more than one device at once).

This one has all the others specs of its sibling and a price of $995.95 / €761.78 – 995.95.
