Over the weekend, word got out that actor Charlie Sheen had agreed to go to rehab to deal with the issues that landed him in the ER room only hours before, after a reported 36-hour cocaine binge. Meanwhile, producers on his show are in deep trouble.

As fans must know, Charlie Sheen gets about $2 million for each episode of the insanely popular “Two and a Half Men” so it’s not a problem if he doesn’t do a couple of episodes while he’s getting treatment.

However, he’s not the only one working on it, which means that producers have to think what to do with the 300 staffers involved in it – and how to pay them while the star is away, TMZ notes.

“Sources connected with the show tell TMZ the crew is grumbling... worried they will be the financial casualties of Charlie’s problem. There are 300 people associated with the show, many of whom are nervous about not getting a paycheck,” the e-zine has learned.

Though there are some who believe Sheen is actually at home, where he’s being rehabbed by specialists, he will most likely be away for at least a couple of months.

This wouldn’t be the first time that the show goes on hiatus while Charlie deals with personal stuff, but no one knows what decision producers will make this time around.

“Sources say when production was halted last February while Charlie was in rehab, the crew was ‘partially compensated’,” TMZ notes.

For the time being, producers are talking about a partial or full compensation – or, even worse, about not paying staff at all while Sheen is away.

Either way, an announcement will most likely be made soon.

“That said, everyone we’ve spoken with is supportive of Charlie and knows he needs to get better, which ultimately will be the best job security,” TMZ says.
