Super Talent figured it was time to expand one of its less than ordinary product lines, namely a series of flash drives that thrive on compactness and, thus, portability, above all else.

The market for flash drives seems to be coming along quite nicely, for a variety of reasons.

Such storage devices have, one could say, a high, if not the highest degree of mobility and compatibility, the latter by virtue of the Universal Serial Bus.

Some flash drives do their best to excel in all areas, while others focus on a specific trait above all others.

As such, there are, among other things, common drives, rugged drives (which focus on endurance), encrypted drives (with data security) and those that combine all of these in some measure or another.

The flash drives that Super Talent brought forth most recently excel in the area of compactness, being part of the Pico Mini line.

Basically, the company delivered a new pair, the so-called Pico Mini C and Pico Mini D.

Both of them settle for the transfer rate of the USB 2.0 interface, whose maximum transfer speed is of 480 Mbps.

"The Pico Mini C and D are an exciting addition to our wildly successful Pico series. Our customers love the convenience and durability of these designs,” said CH Lee COO of SuperTalent.

“Now we have two more industrial designs to meet the needs of these customers," he added.

The newcomers are just about as large as a small coin and have a slide-out mechanism, so that the USB connector can be safe at all times.

Nevertheless, even despite their sizes, the Pico Mini C and Pico Mini D can cram 2 GB. 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB or 32 GB of storage space inside of them.

Unfortunately, the official announcement held no information of any sort when it came to pricing.
