Since the rate of new releases on the IT market has more or less recovered, I-O Data has broken its own silence in order to reveal the approach of two new liquid crystal display monitors.

New display solutions, like hardware of any other type, get released on a regular basis, meaning that companies have to keep creating new ways to make their inventions stand out.

Usually, all it takes to gain an edge is for either major factor (energy efficiency, image quality, price etc.) to be worked on more closely than is customary for most consumer devices.

Of course, this goes for only those displays that aren't meant for the top-end, since those particular ones excel in all areas, except price accessibility, understandably enough.

The two newcomers that I-O Data created are a 21.5-inch monitor and 23-inch one, both sharing largely the same specs, even the special image enhancing technology.

To be more specific, the 21.5-inch LCD-MF223XSBR and 23-inch LCD-MF232XSBR feature the super resolution technology.

The tech uses a third-party IC, in this case made by Renesas, to perform image data analysis and processing, leading to the clearing of blurred images.

As far as their differences go, besides their screen diagonals, the newcomers have brightness of 250 cd/m2 (the 21.5 inches one) and 300 cd/m2 (23-inch one).

The rest of the specifications include a DCR (dynamic contrast ratio) of 30,000:1, a static contrast ratio of 1,000:1, a GTG (gray to gray) response time of 2ms and, of course, the native resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels (Full HD).

To the above are added a pair of 1.5W speakers and multiple display inputs, them being D-Sub, DVI and HDMI.

Both products are expected to start selling in Japan before the end of the ongoing month, for prices of $276 (LCD-MF223XSBR) and $324 (LCD-MF232XSBR). More information can be found here.
