The personal details of 46,000 patients of Scottsdale Dermatology might have been compromised by an individual working for the medical practice’s billing company All Source Medical Management.

The employee in question, 24-year-old Brittney Davidson, and her boyfriend, Winfred Aurelious Dick Jr., aged 25, have been arrested and charged with aggravated identity theft, computer tampering, fraud schemes and fraudulent use of a credit card, 3TV reports.

Davidson admitted using up to 13 credit cards, the details of which she stole from patients of Scottsdale Dermatology and their associated offices. Investigators say she bought tires, rims, pizza and other items. She even paid a traffic fine for her boyfriend.

“I feel like the worst person in the world because this is everything I was against. It doesn't matter how desperate you are, wrong is wrong, and you shouldn't do it because now I'm paying the ultimate price. I feel like the biggest loser for the rest of my life for harm I caused to people I don't know,” Davidson said after being arrested.

Patients of the clinic who have spotted fraudulent charges are advised to call the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office at 602-876-1011.
