The DDR3 memory standard continues to gain popularity with the advent of Intel's P35 and X38 chipsets. Major memory solution manufacturers have long since come up with working modules of the new memory type, but TwinMOS' raised the performance stake with their DDR3-1800 over-clocking DRAM modules.

The Twister Overclocking series is comprised of DDR3-1600 and DDR3-1800 memory modules that are extremely adjustable. The products are high-quality RAM kits that mostly address to professional game players and overclockers. The new 1600 and 1800 MHz memory modules are built with Micron memory dies arranged into a 128Mb x 8 layout.

"The Twister series is the highest quality product line from TwinMOS, featuring reliable data access at ultrafast speeds. Every module is made with selected original dies and high-standard production processes. More importantly, every module is tested to comply with the published specifications, and quality is controlled according to the highest standards", company officials stated.

The cards have to pass a thorough quality check during the manufacturing process. Micron's memory chips feature the latest FBGA (Fine-pitch Ball Grid Array) technology, that significantly reduces the chip physical dimensions. The memory modules can reach a maximum data transfer rate of 12800MB/sec for DDR3-1600 and 14400MB/sec for DDR3-1800, respectively. For normal operation, the memory modules are powered at 1.8 volts with clock latencies set to 8-8-8-21.

TwinMOS has also improved the memory modules' passive cooling system. The high performance heatsink provides better efficiency in dissipating the excessive heat while preserving the optimal electrical characteristics.

The memory modules are designed to comply with the JEDEC circuit specification to prevent noise interference for maximum reliability and stability even when overclocked. TwinMOS' memory comes packed with a global lifetime warranty to accompany the product's thorough quality assurance tests.

The memory modules will be available through the retailers' network until the end of the month, but the company has not announced any pricing details yet.
