Bronson Pelletier, whom fans of “The Twilight Saga” know as Jared, member of the Wolf Pack, was assaulted in a public restroom by a few thugs who thought it would be cool to pick on someone who had been in the film.

Ted Casablanca of E! Online’s The Awful Truth reports that Pelletier did not provoke the assailants in any way and that he was completely taken by surprise when they lashed out at him.

However, contrary to reports, he was not so badly injured as to require hospitalization, his rep states for the aforementioned media outlet.

“A Twilight fan convention in Birmingham, England, last week turned rowdy when a Breaking Dawn castmember got beaten up in a bathroom!” Casablanca writes.

“Bronson Pelletier, who plays wolf-pack member Jared, was signing autographs and taking pictures at the afterhours convention when he was jumped by a gang of guys who just felt like beating up ‘somebody who was in Twilight’,” the same report says.

A wedding was taking place at the same venue and a bunch of (probably intoxicated) guys decided to have a go at Pelletier for the only reason that he was in the “Twilight” movies, his rep explains.

“Apparently, three drunk, late-20s males who were at a wedding at the same venue thought it would be funny to put my client in a neck lock and threaten him,” the actor’s publicist states.

Luckily for the actor, they had picked the wrong guy to mess with as he fought back and even managed to get away and go and look for help.

“To their surprise, Bronson, who has a ‘street’ background, elbowed and fought his way loose in true ‘Wolf Pack Spirit.’ When he came back with some other ‘wolves’ to even the odds, these drunk [expletive] were long gone,” the rep explains.

As per the same publicist, Bronson is now “fine” and has not been hospitalized for any injuries stemming from the altercation.
