Source says fourth film might shoot elsewhere because of excessive attention

The entire world knows that “Twilight” is officially the biggest phenomenon of our times, not only in terms of being a successful film franchise, but also as regards the popularity its stars enjoy. It’s precisely this popularity and the ever-increasing media attention that will finally break the spirit of the cast as, right now, all the actors are forced to hide from the “Vultures” that lurk around on the “Eclipse” set, E! Online says.

Ted Casablanca of The Awful Truth spoke with someone involved in the production of the third film, “Eclipse,” which is currently nearing completion, and learned that things were going from bad to worse on the set. The excessive attention, both from the media and opportunistic fans, will soon turn out to be too much to handle, which is why producers are already considering shooting “Breaking Down” on some other location than in Vancouver.

“It’s been more than rumored that ‘Breaking Dawn’ will be filmed somewhere other than British Columbia next year, and the reason has less to do with tax issues and more to do with the sanity of our favorite cast. ‘It’s not just the media invading [the Twilight cast’s] privacy – it’s the whole world,’ dishes a key Summit player. ‘Civilians are flying in all over the world to hunt down whoever they can find,’ fesses the concerned power suit. ‘It’s bad. Literally [Rob and Kristen] have no choice but to stay inside.’” E! writes.

Aside from the ever-present paparazzi who make even shooting impossible or who ruin key scenes as they trespass on the set, there’s also the issue of the fans who are seemingly unaware of where they must draw the line. They come in from all corners of the world, the tipster explains, hide on the set, cameras and pen and paper in hand, tape conversations, lurk around locations where they hear the cast might appear, stalk and harass for an extra bit of juicy information. In short, they make life a living hell for everyone involved in the making of the “Twilight” film franchise, and things will eventually get out of hand – if they haven’t already, that is.

“Apparently the tourist companies up in Canada are also getting out of control. While we’re told there are some that are very respectful and keep their distance, more than a few companies and fans (one woman in particular) cross the line. ‘Everyone calls them the Vultures,’ our insider tells us. ‘The cast hates, hates, hates them. The Vultures actually stalk [the cast] – hunt down every set location and hide out in order to record them everywhere they go off set. It’s become unmanageable.’ These ‘rogue tourists’ – as Robsten, Summit and the whole Twi group calls them – have had some major impact on how the cast goes about their daily lives.” E! further writes.

What’s even worse, Casablanca and the Summit insider insist, is that what we have here is actually a bunch of “kids” (meaning the cast), who are only trying to work and prove the world that they are good actors. They want careers and not this kind of upsetting attention.
