True to the past two years, Summit Entertainment is moving on with promoting a yet unfinished “Twilight” movie while also pushing the upcoming one, out this summer. The final installment in “The Twilight Saga,” “Breaking Dawn” will be released on November 18, 2011 – so Twi-hards can mark their calendars already. Still, there’s no word yet on whether the fourth book will be made into two movies or not, MTV says.

The November release date is still pending confirmation from the movie studio, but all signs are pointing towards it, says a report in the aforementioned e-zine. Both “Twilight” and “New Moon” were released in the same November weekend, the only exception being the upcoming “Eclipse,” which had to be moved up this summer because “Harry Potter” also comes out in November. Another connection the vampire franchise might share with “Harry Potter” is the treatment of the last book.

“‘Breaking Dawn’ will hit theaters November 18, 2011. The news comes by way of Nikki Finke at Deadline: Hollywood. She’s been a bit preemptive in the past, but this sounds pretty much like what we’ve been expecting. It is the same weekend both ‘Twilight’ and ‘New Moon’ have been released the past two years, and ‘Eclipse’ is the anomaly because it is going to be released in the summer. This year, another big young adult hit is going to be taking its spot: ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1’ is set to release on November 19,” MTV writes.

The aforementioned connection might be the treatment given to the last book in the series, which means “Breaking Dawn” could still be split in two. “Ever since the possibility of ‘Breaking Dawn’ being released as two films was announced, it was almost instantly clear that Summit was looking to follow Warner Bros.’s desire to make two films to stay as close to the lengthy final book in their series as possible. If ‘Breaking Dawn’ continues to follow the ‘Deathly Hallows’ path, then we can expect part two – IF there is a part two – on or around July 13, 2012,” MTV explains.

“Breaking Dawn” is scheduled to go into production this fall, once promotion for “Eclipse” is over  and the actors are free to return to work. By that time, Summit will have decided whether it will make two or just one film. In the meantime, fans have newly-appointed director Bill Condon’s promise that, regardless of how many films there will be, he will do his best to stay true to the story in Stephenie Meyer’s book.
