Owners of Windows Phone 8.1 devices out there can now download and install a new Twitter client, in the form of Tweetium.

The software, available only on Windows 8.1 machines until now, arrives on Windows Phone 8.1 in a beta flavor at the moment, intended for select existing customers, the team behind the software explains.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Tweetium is a premium Windows Twitter client capable of delivering a slick, fast experience, enabling users to get the most out of Twitter on various devices.

It has arrived on Windows Phone as Universal App, thus taking advantage of the unified development tools that Microsoft has made available for app builders interested in targeting both Windows and Windows Phone with their software.

“Thank you for your interest in trying the beta of Tweetium for Windows Phone! First and foremost, this is a BETA release, and thus you may encounter problems or incomplete UI. Second, this beta is intended for owners of the current Tweetium app,” the company notes on its website.

In the Windows Phone Store, the application is listed as version 2014.720.2333.1685 Beta build 201 at the moment, with a price tag of $2.99 (€2.21) attached to it.

“The base app price gets you the fully featured standard app with support for using one Twitter account at a time,” the application’s description reads.

“You can now also purchase Tweetium Pro from within the app, which enables support for up to 7 accounts, push notifications, TweetMarker sync, and integrated news reading powered by our other app, Newseen.”

Those users who have already bought Tweetium on Windows devices will be able to grab the application without having to pay for it once again.

The company notes that not only will existing users not be charged for the software once again, but clicking on the buy button in the Windows Phone Store will automatically inform them that they already own the app.

Moreover, all those who are Pro subscribers in the Windows version of Tweetium will enjoy the Pro features when getting the Windows Phone application as well.

In fact, the software will automatically sync users’ handsets and Windows PCs, so as to ensure that they enjoy a unified experience across all of their devices.

Tweetium for Windows Phone was designed with support for Live Tiles, as well as with lock screen capabilities, which will provide them with an experience tailored for this mobile OS.

Tweetium for Windows Phone 8.1 Beta can be seen listed on this page in the Windows Phone Store. Hopefully, it will be released for all Windows Phone users out there soon.
