Hackers of the TurkHack Team have breached and defaced more than 450 websites in celebration of Republic Day, the Turkish public holiday that commemorates the proclamation of the republic in 1923.

“In the 29th October operation 500 sites have been hacked. We will continue and do everything in our power to end the lives of sites that are against the republic of Turkey and Mustafa Kemal ATATÜRK,” the hackers wrote.

The defaced websites are mostly commercial sites belonging to companies from all over the world. However, it’s worth noting that the websites haven’t been hacked all at once. The list published on Republic Day by TurkHack Team covers the period between October 1 and October 29.

A complete list of defacement mirrors has been published by the hackers on Pastebin and TinyPaste.
