Over the years, many keyboards bearing the label 'ergonomic' were unleashed, but it seems that a new company plans to change the definition of the term with its new product, the Truly Ergonomic Keyboard.

The main goal of the Truly Ergonomic keyboard is to make sure that users' hands stay in an appropriate position while typing.

Basically, the keyboard layout has a symmetric shape that should minimize whatever strain the neck, shoulder, wrists and lower side of the back may suffer from after extended periods of typing, if not outright eliminate it.

The ability of the newcomer is to enable comfort during prolonged periods of time spend at a computer and is made possible by a new, symmetrical design.

The main asset is that the shape of the keyboard is in-line with the neutral position of the human body.

Truly Ergonomic decided to also threw in the added bonus of programmable keys, as well as such things as high-quality Cherry MX mechanical keyswitches and a full N-key rollover.

The Cherry MX mechanical keyswitches are supposed to increase the durability of the product, allowing it to last for up to 10 times as long as any other ergonomic or conventional keyboard.

It should also be noted that there is a cushioned and removable palmrest available, as well as an USB cable with a PS2 adapter.

All in all, acquiring this peripheral is expected to prevent the appearance of such conditions as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) or repetitive Strain Injuries (RSI), or improve comfort for those that already suffer from them.

The product can be found up for pre-order on the official page that the company has added to its website, priced at $169, which is the equivalent of 129 Euro.

Granted, this price of $169 is only temporary, as it will 'expire' on October 15, after which any other pre-orders, or orders once shipments start, will require $199.
