Ever since the amazing “Tron: Legacy” movie came out in 2012, fans have been dying to get a look at a sequel that has been promised to them by director Joseph Kosinski. Well, it's time to stop your worrying and get some low down on the sequel called “Tr3n.”

The filmmaker told AssignmentX that the story for the third movie is going to pick up where the last one left off, namely focusing on the situation of Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hetlund's characters after escaping from The Grid.

“We're working on the story right now. Once we get a script we're all really happy with, we'll take it to the powers that be and see if we can go back to the Grid,” the director said.

He also mentioned that “I think we will pick [up] with where Tron Legacy left off with Quorra in the real world and what does that mean and the possibilities it opens up for the next chapter. It's the relationship between the two of them that's the next step.”

Another juicy tidbit is the fact that Cillian murphy's character, Edward Dillinger Jr., is going to be playing an important part in this new movie.

“Dillinger [played by David Warner] was a really important part of the first Tron and it felt like an easy way to continue that storyline and thread to have his son (Murphy) in Tron Legacy,” said Kasinski.

Now, who else is excited?
