For some reason, I keep imagining animal rights activists – headed by PETA, of course – pointing their finger at SeaWorld, laughing their heart out and saying things like “serves you right.”

This is because American singer, author and actress Trisha Yearwood has recently announced that she won't be performing at the marine park's upcoming Bands, Brew & BBQ festival.

The singer hasn't yet offered any explanation concerning her reasons for bailing out on SeaWorld.

According to TMZ, word has it that, although she has not watched documentary film Blackfish herself, she has heard about it and this made her want to cut all ties with the marine park.

Since the release of documentary film Blackfish, SeaWorld Orlando's Bands, Brew and BBQ festival has lost three other musical acts: Barenaked Ladies, Willie Nelson and Heart.

Can you hear the giggles and the “serves you right” now?
