The fork-knife-spoon tool was designed by Kazuyo Komoda

There are tons of cutlery designs, but the general approach never seems to change: fork-left, knife and spoon-right. OK. Well, if you're looking for a challenge when it comes to eating "tools", you're probably going to love this.

Here it goes. The fork- knife-spoon tool was designed by Kazuyo Komoda (probably after a night out and 20 shots of sake). It was dubbed Trinacria Cutlery, apparently for an unknown reason. No, wait. It's actually referring to something. Trinacria is the former name of Sicily and the 3 arms (fork, knife, spoon) actually resemble the symbol that appears on the flag of Sicily: a guy with 3 legs. Anyway, I can't imagine a "familia" of a Mafioso using this thing, but if Dune characters were to be real, they would probably use these ridiculous pieces of cutlery in order to sip the "illumination poison" used in spice rituals.

I don't like saying this, but I can't see this as an effective eating tool. It may find its use in decorations or it may double as a pseudo-boomerang, but you can't use it to stuff food in your mouth. You can't even cut bread using the knife. Well, maybe the "inventor" tried to mock the current eating utensils. Perhaps it could be used by angry wives though. Boomerangs always come back to the thrower, right? Well, since it's shaped like a boomerang, the Trinacria will hopefully result in no post-violence actions.

The "thing" is made of cheap plastic, comes in different colors (Ole!) and it's sold in packs of 6. You still need 2 for each serving plate after all. You can get them from charlesandmarie.com for 16 Euros the six-pack. Good luck!
