Trials Fusion, the upcoming physics-based racing game from RedLynx and Ubisoft has the same features across all of its platforms, in the form of PC, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, as the studio strived to deliver a good title with a 60fps framerate on all possible devices.

The Trials series has been around for quite some time but with every release PlayStation fans have been left hungering for the franchise, as it came out only on PC and Xbox 360 for quite some time.

With the upcoming Trials Fusion, Ubisoft and RedLynx are finally bringing the franchise to Sony's platform, in the form of the PS4, alongside the PC, Xbox 360, and Xbox One, at the same time.

According to RedLynx's Antii Ilvessuo, this feat is due to the support from Ubisoft, which has helped the studio make sure that the Trials Fusion experience will shine no matter the device it's being played on.

"Ubisoft has provided major support for Trials Fusion, as we’re now part of a much larger network of development studios," Ilvessuo told IGN. "In turn, this gives RedLynx the opportunity to focus on creating the best Trials game possible and the ability to go after four platforms – Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and PC – all at once. That being said, simultaneously developing a game for four platforms is a lot of work, and we had to make some tough decisions about which platforms to focus on."

Even with these tough decisions, RedLynx has ensured that feature parity is achieved across all the possible platforms, largely because it doesn't want to disappoint fans who prefer one device over the other.

"Yes, there is feature parity across all platforms. The primary difference among the platforms is the rendering resolution on new generation hardware versus the previous generation’s hardware," he confirmed.

A lot of work has also been put into the track editor mechanic, which allows players to craft their own tracks with a never before seen level of detail.

"Additionally, if you are a heavy user of the game's built-in track editor, or like to play a lot the tracks created by other players, you will find that Trials Fusion will allow you to make even more detailed and complicated tracks (capable of handling more effects, objects, and greater complexity) with the newest hardware. But with all four platforms, we have a rigid 60 frames per second and the same gameplay experience and feature set."

Ilvessuo didn't go into detail about the game's possible resolutions, so it's unclear if the experience will be in full HD 1080p on both PS4 and Xbox One.
