Ubisoft and its RedLynx studio have officially confirmed that Trials Fusion is set to appear for the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 in April and that it will include a variety of brand new elements for the physics-based racing game.

The Trials franchise may have started off as simple web-based Flash games but, since its humble origins, the series has spawned several extremely successful iterations, including the recent Trials Evolution, which appeared back in 2012 for the Xbox 360 and in 2013 for the PC.

Now, a brand new game is set to debut in the near future, in the form of Trials Fusion, coming from the franchise's founder, RedLynx, with the help of Ubisoft's regional studios from Shanghai and Kiev, according to UbiBlog.

Trials Fusion marks the first time the franchise sees a multi-platform release at the same time, bringing the new physics-based racing experience to the PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 on April 16.

The new game will once again focus on the core recipe of the series, which is racing in a physics-based 2.5D environment, pulling off stunts and trying to not fall from the bike. As veterans already know, this is easier said than done and some tracks required a colossal amount of effort.

For Trials Fusion, the team at RedLynx added a variety of other challenges on top of the regular one to complete a course. As such, there are plenty of extra activities featured on various tracks, including ones that require players to keep pressing the acceleration and never touch the brake during a run, or to perform four flips during a single jump. Not touching certain obstacles or platforms, or finding secret paths are also among the different challenges from the game.

As with Trials Evolution, Fusion will also include a built-in Editor that will allow players to create their own tracks, easily share them with others online, and just as easily download new circuits on which to prove their skills.

There's also an FMX trick system filled with insane stunts, not to mention a multiplayer mode with up to four players.

Trials Fusion boasts an improved physics system over Evolution, not to mention a better ragdoll system that will ensure that players' bodies flail around all over the place if they crash during a course or when they complete the circuit.

There are also more frequent checkpoints and a quick restart button that should make it easy to get back into the experience after crashing.
