All to better protect against threats

Trend Micro, Inc. has released today the 2008 versions of its consumer intended security products. Trend Micro AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2008 as well as Trend Micro Internet security 2008 are just updates of the 2007 versions of the programs. But wait, that's not all - they also came up with Trend Micro Internet Security Pro that is new!

Their software uses proactive intrusion blocking which is behavior-based technology. This is the best kind of protection you can get when facing new and changing malware, as these types of programs do not rely on signatures (that can be changed) but have their way of dubbing malware by the way it behaves.

"With Trend Micro 2008 products, home users can confidently e-mail, shop, bank, or share photos online, knowing their identities, their privacy and their files are well protected," said Carol Carpenter, vice president of global marketing for Trend Micro consumer business unit. "Our refined user interface makes managing the new threats easy and intuitive. Trend Micro 2008 products have been designed for people who extensively use their computers to conduct various activities online, whether they are at home or away. With this latest release, customers can enjoy all the benefits of the Internet, with peace of mind."

The products have prices that vary from $40 to $70 - they're not too expensive, in my opinion, but if you cannot afford them or don't like Trend Micro, do now wish to pay for security etc, it is advised to get open source protection. Whatever you do - never leave your computer unguarded! In just two years, the malware percent has grown not once, not twice - but more than five times. Now, in 2007 we're facing 540% more malware than we did back in 2005. Call me obsessed, but I won't dare surf the web without staying protected - I advise you to do the same!
