14 DAY TRIAL // IT security giant Trend Micro has acquired Broadweb, a network security solutions provider based in Taiwan.
Trend Micro wants to enhance the capabilities of its Custom Defense Solution with Broadweb’s deep packet inspection and real-time malicious packets blocking technologies.

Kevin Simzer, senior vice president of marketing and business development at Trend Micro, commented “As attacks evolve, conventional network security is no longer sufficient to keep digitized data, intellectual property and communications safe.”

The financial terms of the deal have not been made public.
