Development studio Sucker Punch has just revealed that it is accepting entries into the upcoming beta stage for Infamous 2's User Generated Content mode, which was announced a few weeks ago.

Infamous 2 is set to feature a wide array of missions focused around protagonist Cole McGrath, who, after the events in the first game, now wields devastating electric powers.

[admark=1]Besides the missions developed by the team at Sucker Punch, Infamous 2 also sports an interesting user-generated content system, through which players can design their own missions.

The game will allow them access to a variety of tools through which they can create missions ranging from simple races on the rooftops of New Marais, the city where the game takes place, to escort ones or pure battle-oriented rampages.

In order to fine tweak the new system, Sucker Punch will be holding a special beta stage, which is now accepting entries.

All you need to do is go to this page, select the "Sign Up for the UGC Beta" link and hope that you'll be selected alongside other lucky Infamous fans to participate in the beta.

The entry period lasts between now and March 21, ending at 2pm Pacific Time.

The beta test will start on April 12, and participants will receive special emails containing a beta voucher.

Waves of invitations will be sent, so don't worry if you don't receive any email until the start of the testing stage.

The Infamous 2 User Generated Content beta test is currently open only to residents of the USA, but expect it to be expanded in the near future to other territories like Europe or Australia.

The best missions that will result from the beta stage will be added by the Sucker Punch team to the world of the final game, allowing all players to experience them first hand.

Infamous 2 will be launched exclusively for the PlayStation 3 on June 7.
