Michael Bay’s fourth “Transformers” movie, the one he said he’d never make after 2011’s “Dark of the Moon,” has finally gotten an official name and release date, Deadline confirms.

It is called “Age of Extinction” and will be out in theaters around the world starting June 27, 2014, Paramount Pictures has announced.

Fans must know that Bay is looking to take the franchise into an entirely different direction than the one in the first three installments, even replacing the entire cast.

Shia LaBeouf, who carried the first three films, has been replaced by Mark Wahlberg. “Transformers: Age of Extinction” also stars Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Jack Reynor, Sophia Myles, Nicola Peltz, TJ Miller, Titus Welliver, Li Bingbing, and Han Geng.

Bay has said in previous interviews that this fourth pic would reboot the franchise, so fans should not expect it to be a continuation of the trilogy but rather a standalone project.
