Hollywood has been “flirting” with the gaming industry for quite some time, as either movies were made based on games or games were based on movies that were scheduled to be launched or were already extremely popular.

One of the most recent examples of cooperation between the two branches of the entertainment industry is Transformers: Revege of the Fallen. The summer blockbuster has achieved some huge sales at the box office, but sadly, when it came to the video game published by Activision, things weren't so rosy, as not even the two factions of robots could make for an interesting experience for many gamers.

This is exactly why Activision has now announced that a downloadable expansion pack is in the works for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. It will bring ten new characters, new maps and a new difficulty mode, for those who felt that the original title wasn't challenging enough.

But don't think that it will arrive for every version of the game, as the developers at Luxoflux will bring it only to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. No word on whether it will be priced or even when we will be able to see it on the Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Network, but these details will certainly arrive in due time.

Here's the complete list of new content that will arrive in this new DLC pack:

-More than ten new multiplayer characters including ultimate fan favorites such as G1 Starscream and movie favorites like Sideswipe. -Three new multiplayer maps. -Play new characters in both the Autobot and Decepticon single player campaigns. -New Expert difficulty mode with a fresh set of leaderboards to challenge more experienced gamers in the single-player campaigns. -New Achievements and Trophies to earn.

Overall, this new pack might add a few more interesting things to the game. Did you buy Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen or did you feel that the movie was more than enough to satisfy your hunger for big bulky robots? Leave us a comment with your thoughts.
