Since companies can grab end-users attention either by releasing a new product or by updating an already existing series, when they aren't giving previews or leaking information that is, Transcend though it would perform a combination of both.

Basically, the maker of various storage solutions issued a press release in which it reveals that two of its Flash Drive series have received new members.

To be more specific, the JetFlash 600 and JetFlash 620 now each include models with a storage capacity of 64 GB.

For those interested in a reminder, these two JetFlash lines have been in existence for quite some time and come in 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB and, now, 64 GB.

All members communicate with host PCs via the USB 2.0 connection, and they even manage to reach fairly high speeds thanks to an extra advantage.

Said asset is known as the dual-channel technology and leads to read speeds of up to 32 MB/s and write speeds of 18 MB/s.

The above are more or less everything that defines the JetFlash 600 line of flash drives, but the JetFlash 620 has an extra perk.

In short, it is bundled with the SecureDrive software, which delivers data encryption, so that no unauthorized people may access it.

“It is hard to imagine how many files and data one can operate in this age of information explosion,” states the press release.

“Transcend’s Ultra Speed USB flash drives now come in an enormous 64 GB of storage capacity, enabling users to store over 16,000 high-quality pictures or songs, 640 minutes of Full HD videos, or seemingly limitless amount of documents—all in a tiny thumb-sized storage device,” the announcement added.

Both new 64 GB drives come with a lifetime warranty but have, unfortunately, not been given prices as of yet.
