The horrific train derailment and crash that killed 77 people in Spain yesterday has been captured by cameras installed on the track.

*User discretion is advised when playing the video, as it contains shocking images. The footage shows the train going in the Alvia Angrois curve at high speeds. As I wrote earlier, it was traveling at more than twice the legal limit, at 180 kph (110 mph).

It crashed before entering the city of Santiago de Compostela, killing several passengers and injuring 131 more.

According to El Pais, the camera that captured the incident was set up by Spanish train authority, Administrador de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (ADIF), being used to monitor debris thrown on the tracks.

The clip cuts off once the train hits the wall and you can see the cars turning on their sides.
